The kickoff meeting of Integrity was held on 21st of November 2019 in the beautiful city of Porto, Porto. The project officially started on November 1st 2019 with the collaboration of 4 partners from 4 European countries. During its 36 months’ (3 years) duration, the REMODEL project will combine the existing local expertise in bioengineering with that of partners at the frontline in developing organoids and other advanced in vitro systems, manipulating them to fit specific purposes and validating their use as models for infection, cancer and tissue regeneration research.

During the kickoff meeting, relationships between the partners were strengthened and cross-disciplinary bridges between biologists, researchers and professionals from communication were established. In addition, administrative issues were clarified, and an action plan was made regarding the tasks of each partner for the following 6-8 months.
